About us
Bindmans is a highly successful law firm offering a wide range of expert legal services. We have a reputation for excellence and for being at the cutting edge of legal developments - particularly in relation to issues around human rights, discrimination and public authorities’ powers. Many of our lawyers are nationally recognised as leading experts in their fields.
Bindmans continues to be ranked by Chambers UK and The Legal 500 as one of the top firms in London and the UK for its specialist areas. We are known for achieving excellent results for clients, often in groundbreaking areas of law.
We advise many different types of clients with many different legal issues. We pride ourselves on always providing the best possible service, tailored to the needs of each individual client.
When Bindmans was set up in 1974 by the leading human rights lawyer Sir Geoffrey Bindman, his vision was to create a law firm dedicated to protecting the rights and freedoms of ordinary people. Over recent years, the firm has evolved to offer a broad range of services both to private individuals, NGOs, companies, and other organisations. However, that founding commitment – to fairness and to ensuring access to justice – remains at the heart of everything we do.
Bindmans now has around 50 lawyers working in 14 different practice areas. The size of the firm and the breadth of its expertise means that for most clients we can offer a one-stop-shop for all their legal advice. If a case demands it, our lawyers can draw on the specialist knowledge of colleagues in other departments to ensure clients receive a seamless and cost-effective service.
Bindmans LLP is currently run by Paula Finn, Interim Chief Executive.
