Victims of abuse inquiry blunders sue Met for £300k

Three prominent victims of false sexual abuse allegations are suing the Metropolitan Police in legal actions that could cost the force £3 million.

The former MP Harvey Proctor, the former chief of the defence staff, Lord Bramall, and the broadcaster Paul Gambaccini are to lodge individual claims for damages over their treatment as suspects in bungled Scotland Yard inquiries.
