Elizabeth Cleaver, solicitor in our Public Law and Human Rights team, will be holding a webinar for MBL on key recent developments in mental health law.
The session will provide a concise reminder of the legal frameworks available to practitioners involved in complex decision-making for patients with eating disorders, together with recent caselaw.
Elizabeth will also cover a summary of other recent caselaw from the First and Upper-Tier Tribunals (Mental Health), including A Mental health Trust v BG [2022], Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Foundation Trust v Q [2022], and DD v Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust [2022] – on the jurisdiction of Mental Health Tribunals where a patient is conditionally discharged.
This session is aimed at those representing patients detained under the Mental Health Act (MHA), as well as mental health trusts and MHA administrators.
