Monika Sobiecki to speak at Nottingham University’s ‘Activism in the Era of Global Surveillance’ event

Monika Sobiecki, partner in our Media and Information law department, is set to speak at Nottingham University’s Law and Tech Discussion Group event titled ‘Activism in the Era of Global Surveillance’.

The event will take place between 1pm – 3pm on Wednesday 7 February and is set to explore the different types of surveillance technologies and the effects these have on activists; legal avenues to enforce activists’ rights; and proposals for political response and legislative reform.

This will be a hybrid event, with the in person presentation held in Room B55, Law and Social Sciences Building, University Park Campus, Nottingham, NG7 2RD.
