Siddharth (Sid) Sangameswaran is a Trainee Solicitor in our Media and Information Law team.
He supports the team across a wide range of contentious and non-contentious matters, with a particular focus on:
- Defamation (libel and slander)
- Data protection
- Misuse of private information
- Regulatory proceedings
Sid also has experience assisting with civil claims relating to police misconduct, including cases involving assault, false imprisonment, and malicious prosecution, as well as representing families at inquests.
He has also worked on the Grenfell Tower Public Inquiry, assisting the Recognised Legal Representatives acting for bereaved families and survivors of the fire.
Education and career
- Sid graduated from Sciences Po Paris in 2016 with a BA in Social Sciences. He went on to complete the Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL), achieving a distinction.
- Sid joined Bindmans in January 2022 and has since gained experience as a paralegal in both the Public Inquiries team and the Actions Against Police and State team.
