Conveyancing Secretary – Property Department (Chiswick)

We are seeking to recruit a Conveyancing Secretary to provide secretarial and administrative support to a senior solicitor in the Conveyancing department at our Chiswick Office.

The principal duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing secretarial support to a Solicitor in the conveyancing department;
  • Audio/ copy typing of letters and forms/documents,
  • Booking appointments, arranging meetings and managing diaries;
  • Liaising with estate agents, solicitors and clients where required
  • Dealing with file opening, closing and retrieval procedures;
  • Electronic and manual filing of documents;
  • Attending to clients in person and on the phone;
  • Undertaking administrative tasks and assisting with case administration and preparation.

Essential:

  • Legal experience in a law firm is desirable
  • At least 2 years previous experience as a Conveyancing Secretary is desirable
  • Excellent communication, organisation and administrative skills
  • Excellent computer skills – good working knowledge of MS office;
  • Experience of a case management system;
  • Excellent audio typing skills;
  • Good level of numeracy;

You will need to :

  • be self-motivated;
  • have a flexible and professional attitude;
  • have the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining strong attention to detail
