We are pleased to announce that our Family and Matrimonial team have again this year received award shortlistings in multiple categories at the LexisNexis Family Law Awards.

The Family Law Awards bring the family law community together annually to celebrate the success and achievements of family lawyers, and the vital contribution that they make to society. In 2022, Bindmans jointly won Children Law Team of the Year, and Hannah Marshall, associate solicitor won Family Law Young Solicitor of the Year.

Family Law Firm of the Year – London

The Bindmans Family Law team has experience across every area of family law, with a national reputation for handling complex financial remedies work and international children law cases, and an unparalleled cross-border practice in the family law field.

The team are widely recognised as industry leaders, operating at the forefront of contemporary and dynamic issues in family law, pushing boundaries to ensure the best possible outcome is achieved for their clients.

Family Law Partner of the Year

Alison Leivesley, partner and Head of our Family and Matrimonial team, has again been shortlisted for the Family Law Partner of the Year award, which celebrates those that have made a major contribution to the field of family law through their practice.

Alison specialises in all aspects of family law, but is particularly well-known for her children law practice, and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in public law children, private law children, domestic abuse, forced marriage and honour-based violence.

Alison also has an outstanding record in training and mentoring, including working with other professionals to ensure they are equipped to support vulnerable clients involved in family court proceedings. She is also committed to training the next generation of lawyers and is a Young Legal Aid Lawyers (YLAL) mentor and lectures undergraduate law degree students.

Family Law Associate Solicitor

Marianna Michaelides, associate in our Family and Matrimonial team, has been shortlisted for the Family Law Associate Solicitor of the Year. Marianna specialises in all areas of international children and domestic private children law, and is a Resolution Accredited Specialist in private children law and child abduction.
