Amanda Jardine-Viner

Amanda is a solicitor in our Private Client team. She undertakes a wide variety of private client work including Wills, Powers of Attorney, non-contentious Probate and the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates.

Amanda specialises in simple and complex Wills for individuals or couples with embedded Will Trusts e.g. Vulnerable Persons Trusts, Discretionary Trusts and Life Interest Trusts.

She offers advice in relation to non-contentious probate and acts for executors or personal representatives in relation to applications for Grant of Probate and Letters of Administration and the wider aspects of estate administration.

Amanda has particular experience with drawing up Advance Directives, the creation and revocation of General and Lasting Powers of Attorney, including business LPAs, and the registration of Enduring powers of attorney.

Amanda also advises on Court of Protection matters including applications for Property and Finance Deputyships, Statutory Wills and the Appointment of Replacement Property Trustees.

She assists clients with Declarations of Trust and provides advice in relation to Property Trusts and joint ownership of properties including applications to HM Land Registry on behalf of individuals or trustees, for example, applications to update registered proprietors, sever Joint Tenancies, remove or enter restrictions.

Amanda can also offer advice in relation to Deeds of Variation, Change of Name Deeds, a variety of lifetime Trusts as well as advice in relation to inheritance tax and inheritance tax reliefs, lifetime gifting and the tax implications of transfers of property.

Education and career
  • Amanda was admitted as a Solicitor in 2019 and before she joined the Bindmans team in April 2023, practised as a Private Client solicitor at a solicitors firm in Kent
  • Prior to being a solicitor, Amanda had a 19-year career in Education teaching English and was Curriculum Leader of English at a leading grammar school in Kent
  • Amanda completed the Legal Practice Course with a Distinction at the University of Law, London Moorgate, where she also graduated from with an MSc Law, Business and Management, gaining a Distinction
  • Amanda completed the Master of Laws (LLM Qualifying Law Degree) with a Distinction and was awarded the Prize for top graduate of the LLM QLD and the Year 3 Prize for Outstanding Achievement at Birkbeck College, University of London Before her legal studies, Amanda graduated with a BA Hons in English Literature from the University of Reading, and gained a Postgraduate Certificate in Education from Keele University
